Why is the Z-Pass day pass not valid for 24 hours as it is for ZVV?

With the definition of the time validity, the Z-Pass is based on the nationally applied regulations for Half-Fare travelcards, with which passengers are familiar. A Z-Pass day pass is therefore valid on the calendar day in question and up to 5.00 a.m. on the following day.
